This Project involved the remodelling and extension of a late Edwardian Residence for a private client.

The original house, of approximately 250sqm, located within a sensitive, affluent Dublin suburb was deemed to be inadequate for the owners. In 2008, this practice was commissioned to refurbish and enlarge the house to 600sqm to cater for the needs of its occupants.

The brief was complex and demanding.

 Security, environmental control, aesthetics and quality control were of critical importance to this client, while the site sensitivities, within a residential conservation area meant the careful interpretation of development plan standards and implementation of a sympathetic and contextual design strategy.

This Project required high quality design and detailing and a level of intensive involvement both on site and at detail design stage.
